The word queer has historically carried meanings including strange, unusual, odd, or peculiar. While the word has become strongly associated with LGBTQ+ identities, Queermistry uses the title more broadly as a play on the idea of chemistry happening between people whose experiences may exist outside what society considers "typical."

This isn't about everybody being the same.

It's about discovering who clicks.
